MusclePharm (MSLP) Presenting Data Today at XVIII Aids Conference in Vienna

by Joe on July 22, 2010

MusclePharm had an important news release this morning. They are presenting today data at the 18th Aids Conference in Vienna on their RE-CON product, which has shown therapeutic effect in HIV patients on HAART (highly active antiviral therapy) who suffer from dramatic involuntary weight loss and catabolic cachexia. The Company was invited by NAPWA (National Association of People with Aids), which is the oldest national Aids organization. They are very encouraged by the important RE-CON data and the Company has started the process of applying for Medicaid reimbursement code for the use of RE-CON for these Aids patients. MSLP is receiving a lot of support and assistance from the Aids community to get this through Medicaid. We believe this is an important evidence of the quality of the Company’s products and development process.
We would be aggressive buyer of the stock. They are experiencing strong momentum and we believe more leading retailers, both in the U.S. and internationally will start selling the products. Besides having high quality products, they have a strong marketing team and athlete endorsements.
Our estimates, which we believe are conservative, shows revenue of $9.0M and EPS of $(0.14) for 2010, $25M in revenue and EPS of $0.15 for 2011 and $50M in revenue and EPS of $0.25 for 2012. With only 26 million shares outstanding, this stock has a long way to go. See our initiation report for more details: MSLP initiation report
