Update on Options Media Group (OPMG)

by Joe on June 14, 2010

Options Media Group (OPMG) – Options Media Group has acquired the North American marketing rights to one of the most exciting pieces of technology we have seen in a long time – the NetQin cell and smart phone antivirus and mobile phone applications software suite, which currently has more than 46 million users around the world. The exciting opportunity is that virtually none of these users are currently in North America leaving the vast majority of smart phone users in the United States and Canada virtually unprotected from virus and hacker attacks. Over the past few weeks, the Company has begun to sign up a meaningful number of independent mobile phone retailers. We are expecting specific news relative to this subject over the short term. The Company has also publicly announced it is undergoing testing and is in distribution negotiations with one of the largest wireless service providers in the United States and additionally is in talks with several major retailers. Over the short run we should expect some specific news relative to these opportunities. With a strong balance sheet, a strengthening legacy business, very robust gross margins, and a brand-new set of businesses centering around mobile applications, such as antivirus and anti-texting while driving, we see a significant buying opportunity.

Daren – I think many of the comments on this board are on target. Managmenet needs to provide some specifics – I am working on helping. Joe

what happened to OPMG…I thought .30 was the goal!!!!

Joe July 12, 2010 at 5:52 am

I think I will be right on target with this once all the news comes out. Joe

Brian July 12, 2010 at 5:56 am

Thanks Joe,

papa needs a new set of sails.

Joe,

Can you push management to get some significant news out ASAP. I hate to watch this trade around .o2 when I know a big PR would put this in a different ball park

Brian

Joe July 13, 2010 at 6:31 am

Brian – your comment is right on track – I am pushing. Joe

Brian July 14, 2010 at 7:00 am

Nothing this week Joe?

Rick July 19, 2010 at 5:48 am

Joe, Haven’t heard anything from you in a couple days? Is anything going on with OPMG? Keep seeing the price go down? With everything going on, I would have expected the opposite. Can you please shed some light on what they are doing?

Brian July 19, 2010 at 6:12 pm

Joe,

I am just wondering where things are at. It’s been three weeks since the last news. That announcement was also just a follow up about the independent retailers. You spoke of 2000 stores signing up before. Also, any word on the large wireless provider. This is the key to this stock going places in my opinion.

Chad July 20, 2010 at 8:13 am

Joe,

Please just let us know if we are the “Bag Holders”…I am really starting to think that this is the case.

ryan122112 July 20, 2010 at 8:22 am

joe? what’s your pps target for opmg?

Chad July 20, 2010 at 10:06 am

We need to admit that we are the bag holders on this one…

Brian July 20, 2010 at 12:03 pm

I wouldn’t say bagholders. Although I don’t think it could go lower. I think the facts are there. I’m just tired of holding on to this stock. It’s been too long and I want my money out, but I’m not going at a loss.

Joe July 20, 2010 at 6:13 pm

Brian – I think the OPMG has a bit overly excited and under estimated the time frames to get things done. It happens often to small caps. I think things are headed in the right direction still but OPMG clearly needs to get things done, out the door and announced. Joe

Rick July 22, 2010 at 4:01 am

Joe, As you can see investors are growing painfully impatient with this pick. Silence from OPMG has led to imaginations going wild and assumptions of the worst. Myself included. If they really are doing what they say… I suggest you get Scott under your wing and tell him to disclose more information to the investment community. I realize fully that the rollout takes time and will be willing to wait but we need more than generic PR’s to keep interest here. Please at least disclose 1 distributor name or at least 1 firm real PR instead of all this inflated empty promises. I may be terribly wrong on this one but am still a believer in OPMG. Can you please help?

daren July 22, 2010 at 5:29 am

Joe,
I don’t mind the wait for the stock price to go up – it doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is my concern for IF the stock price is going to go up or not. If this company is struggling for some reason, and it is tanking, investors need to know. Your lack of communication over the past two weeks is very disheartening due to its inconsistency with your past communications. You’ve always been pretty quick to respond. But, now that you don’t return emails, or provide info in postings, you’ve got us all wondering if you aren’t “hiding the truth”. If there are great things happening, investors need to know asap to keep us here. I’ll wait a year to make money if I have to, but I don’t want to wait a year to lose it…

sean July 22, 2010 at 10:02 am

Mark, are you a short seller? if yes, it’s working keep up the good work…

Wera July 22, 2010 at 10:10 am

hi joe,
have you had contact to the company last time??
is there all going well and “only” the pps going down??
I would be very happy to hear something!!
VERY Happy – TIA
wera

Mark July 22, 2010 at 10:15 am

The PPS is going down due to dilution but the real question that nobody can answer is –

WHERE ARE THE STORES?

I’ve done my DD and nothing. This was a ponzi scheme. The software is free on the web. This was a dupe to line their pockets with high salaries.

Check the financials and you’ll put it together.

tom July 22, 2010 at 10:17 am

Out of all things misleading this seems to have been the greatest…Joe this is your reputation not ours, we may lose alot of money but if you remain silent after egging this on so long it will destroy all trust in you. Please give us some info…

Rick July 22, 2010 at 11:31 am

Wow, if you are out there, Joe, it would be really nice to hear from you about now?

Chad July 22, 2010 at 12:05 pm

Knock knock
Who’s there?
Not Joe

Mark July 22, 2010 at 12:07 pm

My chief complaint is the posting on behalf of the company with insider knowledge of 10 of 100’s of stores. Too this day nobody can find or know of one store that sells this product. There is not one valid notion of any talks with major carriers. Did anyone know you can find the little older version on line for free?

This company dilutes daily. Who is buying this stock right now? Nobody, the company dilutes daily with an occasional head fake up which has become more rare as the company has become more desperate.

Look for more of the same in the coming 10Q. This company is in shambles. All of this is my opinion but the dilution and not being able to find one store is fact. Those involved in misrepresenting should be held accountable.

Joe July 22, 2010 at 5:26 pm

Mark – I do not know about the company selling any shares currently – they would need to file an 8K so we would be able to see. There are clearly stores signed on to carry the products but the company does not want to print the names as it would lead to dozens of calls into the stores. I really think it an issue of training the instore personnel to sell the products, which appears to now be underway. Joe

Joe July 22, 2010 at 5:27 pm

Chad – I am here – I cannot sit here all day and answer questions. Doing the best I can however. Joe

Joe July 22, 2010 at 5:27 pm

Rick – I am here – do you have a question that I did not answer above? Joe

Joe July 22, 2010 at 5:28 pm

Tom – I had to do a few other things away from the blog – it was only 24 hours – Do you have a question.

Joe July 22, 2010 at 5:30 pm

Mark – The financials on OPMG actually look pretty good – most of the debt has been paid off and gross margins are strong. What OPMG needs is mobile related revenue growth I agree. Joe

Joe July 22, 2010 at 5:36 pm

Daren – I am here. If I do not have any info I cannot respond. I do not have anything to add that I have not already said – I am pushing the company to address it progress, but that is all I can do. Joe

Joe July 22, 2010 at 5:39 pm

Rick – I agree with you 100%. Joe

Wera July 22, 2010 at 6:39 pm

hi joe,
talk to scott: s shareholder letter would be imho a good idea!
regards
wera

Wera July 22, 2010 at 6:47 pm

next question:
Q2 – what is the time frame? when is it expected?
thanks
wera

Joe July 22, 2010 at 6:55 pm

I agree – soon rather than later would be great – Joe

Wera July 22, 2010 at 8:52 pm

joe,
will you talk to scott?? better soon!!! otherways, i think, we can forget the pps :-(
thanks
wera

Rick July 23, 2010 at 4:28 am

Joe, I think the easiest resolution to this would be to push the Q2 earnings. Scott cannot hide anything there. We will be able to see if any progress has been made. Plus another Pep Rally is really amuzing to watch. Appreciate you facing the angry mob on this.

tom July 23, 2010 at 7:04 am

Yes Joe I do have a question, has there been any positive or negative movement in getting on board with one of the three major wireless carriers? Second question it seems these retailers have been taking weeks to train their employees on PhoneGuard, does it really take that much training to sell and operate this program? I would imagine a powerpoint presentation and an hour of hands on would be sufficient. Third what is your conservative target PPS on OPMG within lets say 6 months? Fourth have you had steady communication with the company? If yes what exactly is it that is holding them back? Thanks Joe.

Wera July 23, 2010 at 7:11 am

@tom:
good questions!! thanks
wera

Mike July 24, 2010 at 6:27 pm

Joe,

I am invested in this company and I do have the patience to wait for things to develop. I know there are those that prefer immediate results. As an investor I know you prefer not to release any negative information, but what should we expect in the next few months? I can’t even find on OptionsMedia.com where to purchase the anti-texting software, so they must not be selling it. I heard you say this company is your biggest risk/reward, but how do you feel about this company from this day going forward?

An unbiased opinion would be greatly appreciated at this point. You have a great reputation. You must have some idea about the pending earnings report and I would just like to hear some of your input since you are frequently in contact with the company. Thanks in advance for your opinion…

daren July 25, 2010 at 6:33 am

Mike,
If you go to http://optionsmedia.com, and click on the “OPMG Acquires Phoneguard” link, it takes you to the phoneguard website and gives you purchase options.
Daren

Mike July 25, 2010 at 7:26 am

Daren,
Thank you. I see the link you mentioned. As a parent I was mostly interested in the anti-text software for my child and the phoneguard website doesn’t really seem to focus on that aspect. I do see it now that I clicked on the very last tab #6 on the web page. If I were not an investor I would know nothing about this company. I think a little ad campaign would be nice.

Joe,
Any thoughts on getting the word out to the public about this company? If Option Media is signing dozens of retailers that means they are focused on people buying new phones. There is a huge market for those that already have phones.

There have been celebrities that have had their phones hacked into. I know this is not a large company at this point, but if you get one celebrity to endorse this it could really launch this product.

The federal government banned all its employees from using their cell phones while driving. I’m sure they would prefer their employees to have this software installed on their cell phones.

There are huge opportunities here, I’m just a little frustrated this company has had nothing to say for over 4 weeks now. I’m ready to make my own TV commercial for these guys because their silence is disappointing me.

Joe July 25, 2010 at 6:43 pm

Mike – I am hoping to put out and update over the next couple of days. Working on the company – joe

Sean July 26, 2010 at 8:29 am

Do you honestly think we see .30 on this stock? I’ve lost almost 80% of my investment!

Chad July 26, 2010 at 4:03 pm

Sean,

I don’t honestly think that you are going to get an honest answer on that question.

daren July 27, 2010 at 7:44 am

Does anyone have any information about why there has been zero volume today and no trades since yesterday around 1pm? It’s a bit “off putting”. Joe, can you help us out?
daren

Tjeerd July 27, 2010 at 8:14 am

Joe, can you confirm OPMG trade has stopped due to reverse split or any other unknown reason yet? Called OPMG, but operator put me through to a voicemail and no reaction yet. Thanks in advance. Regards Tjeerd

Joe July 27, 2010 at 3:34 pm

Tjeerd – There is no reverse split and trading seems to be going okay. Do you see something different? Joe

Joe July 27, 2010 at 3:35 pm

Daren – Sorry – don’t have any info for you. Joe

Toro July 27, 2010 at 9:03 pm

Joe,
How is the update coming? Do you know when q2 numbers will be released? Thanks in advance.

Mike July 27, 2010 at 9:34 pm

Toro,

If you are a serious investor in Options Media Group then you should already know when Q2 results will be released. Are you really a seasoned investor or just the “new kid on the block?”

If you are willing to wait 6 months then stay with the company. I have been here before. If you need your money before next year then sell out because you won’t have enough for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Choose quickly because things might get ugly for you.
-Mike

Joe July 28, 2010 at 6:21 am

Toro and Mike – OPMG’s Q2 should be out around Aug 15th. joe
